Teeth Whitening
Coffee, tea and the years all leave their mark on enamel. An in-clinic whitening session reverses most of it in about an hour: professional-grade gel, applied and monitored by a dentist, with your gums protected throughout.
Clinic whitening versus the kits
Over-the-counter strips and pens use weak agents because they have to be safe without supervision. In the clinic we can use far stronger formulations, because a dentist checks your enamel and gums first, shields the soft tissue, and monitors the reaction throughout. The result is a bigger shade change in one visit, applied evenly across every tooth.
Whitening starts with an examination. Staining has causes, and occasionally the cause is something whitening cannot fix, like an old root treatment darkening a single tooth. When that is the case we say so and talk through what actually will work.

How white will my teeth get in one session?
Several shades lighter is typical for a single in-clinic session, though the exact change depends on your starting shade and the cause of the staining. Surface stains from coffee and tea respond best. We tell you honestly at the examination what to expect from your teeth.
Does teeth whitening damage enamel?
Not when a dentist runs it. Professional whitening agents work on the stain compounds, not the enamel structure, and the concentration and timing are controlled throughout. Temporary sensitivity for a day or two is the only common side effect.
How long does professional whitening last?
Several months is typical, and longer with sensible habits. The first 48 hours matter most: skip the coffee, tea, red wine and smoking while the enamel settles. A hygiene clean every six months helps the shade hold between sessions.
Why not just use a home whitening kit?
Home kits are limited by law to weak concentrations, so results are slow and often patchy. An unsupervised kit also cannot tell you whether your staining will respond to bleaching at all. One supervised session in the clinic outperforms weeks of strips, evenly and safely.
