Emax Veneers

Emax is the brand name of a lithium disilicate glass-ceramic, and it earned its reputation on one property: strength. An Emax veneer can be made wafer thin and still resist chipping and cracking, which is why it has become the default choice for front teeth that need to look natural and last.

Why the material matters

A veneer's thickness decides how much of your natural tooth has to be removed to fit it. Because lithium disilicate is so strong, an Emax shell can be significantly thinner than a traditional porcelain veneer. Less drilling, more of your own enamel kept, and a bond that holds.

The other half of the story is translucency. Natural enamel is not an opaque white; light passes partly through it. Emax mimics that behaviour, so the veneer reads as a tooth rather than a cap. It also sits well with gum tissue and rarely causes sensitivity issues.

Fitting Emax veneers

  1. 01

    Consultation

We check the tooth, agree the target shade and confirm Emax is the right material for your case.

  2. 02

    Preparation

A light reshaping of the front surface, kept to the minimum the bond requires.

  3. 03

    Impressions and temporaries

Precise impressions go off for milling. Temporaries protect the prepared teeth meanwhile.

  4. 04

    Bonding

The finished veneers are bonded, adjusted against your bite and polished in one visit.

Emax Veneers: your questions, answered

How long do Emax veneers last?

Well over a decade is normal with ordinary care. Lithium disilicate resists chipping and does not stain the way enamel does, so the finish you leave with is the finish that lasts. Grinders should wear a nightguard to protect the investment.

How thin are Emax veneers?

Typically around half a millimetre, and in some minimal-prep cases thinner still. That thinness is the point: less of your natural enamel has to be removed to make room for the veneer.

Do Emax veneers stain like natural teeth?

No. Glazed ceramic is far more stain resistant than enamel, so coffee and tea affect Emax veneers much less than natural teeth. The neighbouring natural teeth can still stain, which is worth considering when choosing your shade.

What do Emax veneers cost in Dubai?

Veneers are priced per tooth, and the honest number depends on how many teeth are involved and the complexity of the case. We give a written per-tooth quote at your consultation, which is free for new patients, and payment plans are available.

Dr. Mohammad Nour and Dr. Faris Alkhanafseh fit Emax veneers weekly and will tell you plainly whether your case needs them. Book a consultation and see the material in your own hands before deciding.
